While we were on vacation, a lot was done at the house! First and foremost we before vacation, we received our official closing date! August 5th!
While we were away, the kitchen cabinets were installed, but not the island yet. The hardwood and tile flooring was installed! They were starting on the second coat of paint for the walls and trim as well.
The electrician was also in hanging fixtures.
Our siding and brick were pretty much completed as well!
Here are some photos.

Dry wall started a couple weeks ago and paint is on now. Here’s a pic of the drywall after it went up. This is our family room.
Here is a view of the back of our home with the morning room and the side entry 3 car garage.
We met with our project manager at the house for our pre-drywall walkthrough. So cool! Here’s a quick photo from our office.
We had our meeting with the Guardian Sales rep in the house on Thursday. It was really fun! It was the first time we have been in the house since it has been framed. We walked through the entire house reviewing the areas in which we installed cable, data lines, etc… We didn’t chose cable in one of the bedrooms and I wish I would have! Michael, the Guardian guy said it was too late to add it on.
What an awesome surprise this past Saturday. The guys were at the house putting up the roof truss!! It is definitely starting to look like a house!
Our second floor is framed after a long week of rain!! Roof should be going on soon!!!!
It has been raining on and off the past few days so I don’t believe much work has been done since my last post. Ugh…
